Joe Iurato

Joe Iurato Signature - Galerie d'art contemporain - Caillebotteri

Joe Iurato is a Street Art artist born in 1973 in the United States. He now lives in New Jersey and exhibits in Manhattan, Brooklyn (at the Bushwick Collective Art Fair) and Miami (at the Winwood wall).

He is known for his sculptures cut out of wood and painted with spray paint using multi-layered stencils. He combines an ancient printing process with the modern stencil technique. Once completed, he installs his works in different areas of the east coast of the United States. Some of them take the form of real giant frescoes, decorating entire walls. The artist sometimes uses photography to set his figurines in motion and create a new artistic approach. Although his work, from a technical point of view, resembles Banksy, Joe Iurato is not a political activist. Through his figurines, the artist tells a story about the journey from child to adult. His sculptures resemble a whole new kind of action hero, acting in a very contemporary universe.

Joe Iurato has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions since 2010 both in America and Europe. His clients include Kenneth Cole, GQ, Red Bull, Adidas, ESPN, NBA and Nickelodeon.
